This house was designed around the basement tearoom, a modernized Asian inspired sunken living room. This focal point, affectionately named the “Zen Den,” is visible from all four levels of the home. Our work brought Zen to the entire home; opening up the floor plan and bringing natural light into the space brings focus and function to a typically overlooked lowerground space.
